Why Save the Gray Bat? -Gray Bats eat a variety of insects, which prevents overpopulation of insects. Money can be saved from being used on pesticides and can be used for more worthy problems. Decreasing the use of pesticides will also prove extremely helpful to both the environment and us. In addition, these bats eat mosquitoes that carry diseases such as West Nile Virus.
-bats are also major pollinators! Many important plants, including species in rainforests and agricultural crops, depend on bats. -bats spread seeds, adding diversity. -bats droppings (guano) keep soil healthy and rich. Rich in nitrogen, they are commonly used as a natural fertilizer.
