“If we kill off the wild, then we are killing a part of our souls.” - Jane Goodall
Hello! We, as Bat and Bird Conservation Efforts [BABCE] founders, believe in conserving the environment and have chosen to concentrate on saving birds and bats. Our goal is to help put as many bats and birds out of the endangered and threatened list as possible by spreading awareness about our cause. For the time being, we are focusing on four main birds and bats, which can be seen in the panel at the top of the page. The species include the Whooping Crane (far left), the Piping Plover (far right), the Little Brown Bat (right center), and the Gray Bat (left center). These are seriously endangered animals with a red status. The four animals are currently being focused on by conservationists, but they will not be successful unless YOU help. ~BABCE Co-founders Michelle and Sophie
Our website has a array of topics to be explored. Many of the tabs are self-explanatory, but some subpages can be missed. Hold your cursor (or tap your finger) over main tabs on the content page and the subtabs with arrows to visit all of the nooks and crannies of the BABCE website. Here is a summary what is included under each of our main tabs: About: BABCE history in a nutshell (the main 'about' page has some information, too, so don't miss it!) Species: Information about our four main species Reasons to Save: Why to save our four main species Action: How you can help our four main species World Status: Tabs about the problems the world is facing today Extra: Recommended readings, how to contact us, organizations to think about, and weekly (ish) posts
Be sure to actually click on the main tabs. They have good stuff to look at (which we currently are adding). Our logo can be seen below. We hope that you enjoy our website!
