You don't know this. We didn't know it either. But apparently Sochi, where the Olympics are being held, is a special stop for many endangered species. And the industrialization just ruined it. Was this a selfish act? We do not know. But clearly, whoever decided where the 2014 Olympics would be did not do their research. The house and the skiing and sliding courses are built directly on top of bird land reserves. Okay, I will admit it, this post is late. But it is such a good idea! Hurricane Sandy was pretty terrifying and destroyed stuff (but think about where the stuff went! Couldn't some animals have accidentally swallowed the junk?) and was costly and replaced so many people.
