Apple and Android products (and their respective companies) can both be accused of planned obsolescence, which is when a product is made to break easier and/or earlier so one will buy more products. In other cases, however, one may just buy new products regardless of age or breakage. As mentioned several posts ago, we shall be briefly discussing some of its environmental impact.

White-Nose Syndrome, one of the top two threats to bats in the Americas (other than windmills), has been discovered in China. The disease has so far not decimated populations there, but is still another demonstration of how easily diseases can be spread between countries by careless people. This also makes it particularly important for those who visit bat caves in China to decontaminate before touring bat caves elsewhere.
