National Geographic published an article in February concerning the Arctic, and it provides some hope that the Arctic won't disappear completely. However, it does start out with some disheartening news. For example, in November 2016, when ice should have grown, it melted, 19,000 square miles. Additionally, by the end of December air temperatures were around 32 F, 50 degrees F above normal. This is unprecedented, but not unexpected.

Around this time last year, a Penn State report came out on the effects of air pollution on bees' abilities to forage. Needless to say, the results were not reassuring. This report found that as air pollution increased, the bees became worse at foraging.
Antarctica was in the news in the last few months and not exactly for good news either. With the consequences of climate change becoming more and more obvious, Antarctica is showing its share of disaster.
On May 31st, President Trump decided to pull the US out of the Paris Accord, citing a potential loss of jobs to old industry workers. This was criticized by environmentalists, some companies, and others. While it is too late to influence the decision (and any arguments for would likely have failed), we will present some arguments for pulling out of the Paris Accord. We will not be citing claims that leaving the Paris Accord will create 6.5 (decimal there) million jobs, as it is unclear where that statistic comes from.
