This post may be a little late, but this BABCE director defends herself by saying that she was incredibly busy in the past week. Anyway, in case you have not been keeping up with current events, Pope Francis released an encyclical (Laudato Si') last Thursday where he discusses environmental problems like pollution, loss of biodeversity, and climate change, saying that we need to take action to stop them.* BABCE is not religious, but this BABCE director is currently reading it, and recommends others to do the same, if you have the time; once you get past the beginning, it provides an excellent overview of troubles facing the world and reasons to stop them. Again, on behalf of BABCE, thank you Pope Francis for this. With public figures spreading awareness about the environment, hopefully we will be able to remedy some of the problem that we have created.
